Yes, I understand the problem. A long time back I had a "Studio Electronics" forum that confused people the same way. It's tough when manufacturers use a common phrase as a brand name.

I will change it to GEM.

Nothing in life is ever easy it seems. OK, I tried changing the name and because the old name is embedded in the current postings the software wouldn't allow replies to be posted because the name was different to the forum. So I have changed it back for now.

When you all can live with not replying to older threads I can change the name as new postings will work just fine. Once you have all had a chance to read this post I will then change it back to GEM.

Suits me, Nigel. You're the man!
BTW, would it be difficult to copy the last 30 days or so and paste them to the forum with the new name?

I would personally like to see the forum name change to GEM.

OK then I am about to make the change.

Because the old forum name is embedded in each and every posting in old thread changing it is not looking like an option. So be aware you are not going to be able to reply to old threads. But new messages will work fine. If there is an old thread you urgently want to continue discussing you will simply have to open a new thread with the same topic name.

We have to change at some point ... and that is now.
